Peachfaced Lovebirds Unusual and Rare Mutations

Hairdressing, to me, it is the best career in the world for someone who loves beauty. I guess that's why it's called the beauty industry.

I believe that if God made anything more beautiful than women, he kept it for himself. That is not saying that women were the only thing beautiful that he made, there is beauty all around us if only we would stop and take notice.

Being a hair stylist, I am surrounded by, and love beauty, but being so very busy hairdressing leaves me very little time to do other things and to really get around to see all the beautiful sights and nature.

If only one takes the time, one can find beauty in many things. I have very little time to spare so I keep birds as a hobby that I don't have to go far to relax my mind from the day`s stresses.

I have kept many kinds of finches, softbills, fruit-eaters, and parrot-like birds in the West Indies, England, and here in Canada. I like variety and color. Peachfaced lovebirds satisfy that desire for variety and color, and since these birds can be tamed they can take the place of a dog or cat for people who live in apartments or flats. (You can search the internet to find out more about peachfaced lovebirds.)

I keep my birds in aviaries but I have always kept a couple in cages in the house. These birds become very tame and follow me about the house when I let them out of their cages. Each has their own personality which can be very different from each other. Sometimes it's hard to get them away from me. They are very curious and can get into everything. They are a real joy to have. You only have to own one of these birds to really appreciate what I am saying.

Check out the various galleries to get a little idea of what these birds look like. I can only show you a very few. I have many more birds just as interesting as these!
